It's official. My camera is broken. I did not just need a new battery. I get a "lens error restart camera" every time I try to turn it on. The lens won't even retract all the way. I Googled this and it seems I'm not the only one with this problem.

I loved the quality of the pictures I was taking with my Canon G9. I'm not going to spend $200.- to repair a problem half of America is having. So...when I get a new camera. Do I go with a higher quality Canon? Do I switch brands? Why, oh why?!?
